Paramount Recruitment has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Small Recruitment Agency category of the 2011 NORA Awards – a significant achievement as NORA (National Online Recruitment Awards) received 17,707 nominations for 526 separate websites across 12 categories for this year.
Nominations for these awards are received direct from the general public from mid-June until early September, when a shortlisting judging panel of industry experts assess the nominated sites in each award category, from the perspective of a job seeker. Finalists are those websites and recruitment services which are believed to offer the very best service and user-experience to candidates.
Established in 2001, the National Online Recruitment Awards were created to acknowledge and reward excellence in online recruitment practice. The list of past finalists and winners accurately describes the evolution of the UK online recruitment sector, which is now recognised as the most advanced and competitive in the world. It is this competition to satisfy increasingly “Internet savvy” candidates which has fuelled one of the fastest growing industries in the UK. The NORAs seek to recognise this, on behalf of the candidates themselves and are established as a standard by which recruitment websites are measured. The awards cover the wide range of online players in the sector, including Job Boards, Recruitment Agencies, Employers, Career Advice websites, Trade and National Publications.
Paramount Recruitment are delighted with this recognition, and Managing Director Daniel Clifton says: “Paramount have developed our website as a crucial tool in our strategy to be at the forefront of technology in our sector as well as providing a website that really works – offering a great user-experience for all our customers. To be recognised for our hard work and focus on this is really encouraging and we will be investing in further improvements to our website over the coming months.”
