Senior Scientist - Nanoparticles - Cambridge

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Scientist to join a young and innovative biotech company based in Cambridge. The company has a truly collaborative and creative culture, they are pushing the boundaries of innovation and performing cutting-edge research.

As a Senior Scientist you will be responsible for:

• Developing and optimising nanoparticle formulations using lipid nanoparticles, primarily for nucleic acid therapeutics’ delivery applications
• Design and conduct analytical experiments to characterise nanoparticles
• HPLC method development and validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance drug delivery projects
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior cross-functional team members
• Contribute to the writing of method, SOPs, scientific papers and patent applications

Experience required:

• PhD in Nanoparticle Science, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science 
• At least 2 years' + of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Extensive experience in nanoparticle synthesis and characterisation, particularly with lipid nanoparticles
• Experience in method development and validation, HPLC
• Experience working in a Quality Assurance environment
• Experience in organic synthesis or drug delivery is a plus
