A great opportunity has become available for a Senior IT User Support Specialist with a Top Pharmaceutical company based in Burgess Hill on a 6-month contract.
The company is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join an End User Workplace & Site Experience Team to work within an agile team and provide IT support for incidents, requests, local infrastructure services and support local projects.
As a Senior IT User Support Specialist, you will:
- Provide customer central IT support for local applications, end-users, and their devices
- Proactively manage IT support incidents, requests and perform root cause analysis and recommend controls for problem mitigation
- Deploy, patch, and validate hardware builds and perform quality testing (Windows 10/11 OS on laptops, Apple iPhones, and Microsoft Windows Server)
- Process new starter, mover, and leaver requests
- Perform remote desk side support
- Lead on internal IT projects and act as a single point of contact for departmental projects and problem management resolution
- Administer new and existing user accounts and perform essential maintenance tasks and configuration changes
- Provide problem management resolution across all endpoints
- Create and maintain technical documentation and report and use ITSM systems
An ideal Senior IT User Support Specialist will:
- Hold an IT related qualification and experience in a similar role providing 2nd/3rd line support in medium to large organisation
- Have strong knowledge of the Windows 10 operating system and general hardware knowledge
- Experience of troubleshooting Microsoft environments, Active Directory, HP laptops, servers and virtual machine management, printers, and other hardware device management
- Have experience with key stakeholder engagement
- Have familiarity with cloud-based technologies, applications, and services
- Have background in IT Support and hardware deployment projects
- Be confident in providing specialist support and guidance to all end users
- Demonstrate IT service management, incident resolution, request, and change management skills/ experience
- Ability to assist and train colleagues in IT departments
- Desirable: qualification or exposure to ITIL framework and agile methodology
