A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Procurement Delivery Manager - Clinical with a Top Pharmaceutical company based in Hertfordshire on 12-month contract to cover maternity.
The company is looking for an experienced Procurement Delivery Manager with capabilities to cover the core procurement activities from category management, strategic and operational sourcing, and supplier management, content strategy definition, and execution to evolve needs of customers.
As a Procurement Delivery Manager, you will:
- Work in dynamic global environment
- Focus to the procurement sourcing and delivery capability area, including planning, execution, and analytical thinking
- Effectively collaborate with internal procurement and business stakeholders
- Translate business needs into sourcing, spend management activities, and content enhancement
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services
- Provide continuous improvement of automation and content availability
- Work closely with team members to support customer demand, improve customer buying experience and provide productivity.
- Conduct market and internal analysis to develop and implement strategies and tactical plans
- Source and negotiate third-party goods and services to satisfy stakeholder requirements
- Deliver and execute sourcing strategies using spend, category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier, and project management skills
- Translate sourcing outcomes and opportunities into content and automated buying channels
An ideal Procurement Delivery Manager will:
- Hold a university degree, preferably in business
- Have extensive experience in sourcing, simple contracting, operational efficiency projects or relevant commodity
- Be able to collect/translate moderate complexity stakeholder requirements and explain general capability area information to others
- Have knowledge in procurement systems and operational processes
- Have experience in sourcing and spot buying
- Have knowledge in Clinical Development/ Clinical Technologies area
- Have proven capability in negotiating project budgets and contracts
- Be experienced with project management
- Be able to work across procurement, business and the broader organisation and proactively foster collaboration
