You will provide excellent Bioinformatics research support to external researchers and partners by enabling analysis, facilitating access to datasets to ensure that users get the most from the data.

This role will combine skillsets, you’ll be working on projects that require both a Bioinformatics skillset and Data analyst skills. You will be supporting users to ensure they have an excellent customer experience throughout.

Key Responsibilities;

• You will act as a second line of support for users of the Research Environment
• Stewardship of genomic data and its flow through products into the research products
• Be a superuser of the company datasets and their research environment
• Work with researchers from academia and industry to ensure their projects are successful
• Support users working with their data, contributing to data generation, intake and extraction

Ideally you will have;

• Experience in human genetics Ideally Rare Diseases
• Industry experience or publications
• Hands-on experience analysing genomic data using bioinformatics tools / pipelines.
• Experience writing pipelines in WDL or Nextflow
• Proficiency in R and/or Python
• Demonstrable experience with next generation sequencing data.
• Experience with working in the cloud and familiarity with the services and benefits it brings.
• Excellent communication skills
• Clear understanding of clinical and phenotypic data management
