Data Innovation Expert - Epidemiology - Pharma
This is a great opportunity to join a family-owned global pharma organisation who are looking to develop breakthrough therapies and innovative healthcare solutions in areas of unmet medical need for both humans and animals. This role sits within the Global Computational Biology and Digital Sciences Unit, based in South Germany. Through In Silico methods combined with disease biology, the organisation want to increase human disease insights. The ultimate goal is to drive faster and improved decision making in order to identify impactful first-in-class therapies for patients.
The successful candidate will be accountable for managing the strategic partnership with the Gutenberg Health Study Program (GHS) - a key strategic partner. You will identify new data analytics and data generation opportunities in partnership with GHS aligned with our data innovation strategy. You will develop a strong footprint in the external healthcare dataset ecosystem and in ensuring access to key capabilities within the organisation.
Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
*Scout for external and internal opportunities to maximize data generation opportunities from the Gutenberg Health Study Program (GHS)
*Establish, manage, and grow a network of external CRO partners.
*In order to support GHS innovation opportunities, you provide resources and capabilities and manage partnerships with stakeholders from different departments
*Continuously explore data generation opportunities in partnership with GHS
*Drive and manage the establishment of a GHS partnership as business contact for e.g. Legal, Controlling, and other involved enabling functions
*Plan and conduct tailored outreach and engagement activities
*PhD or Master's degree in life sciences, computer sciences or a related discipline
*Long-time relevant experience in multidisciplinary pharma Research & Development
*Multiple years of experience in conducting and managing external partnerships and collaborations
*Ability to rapidly adapt to new concepts, domains, function-specific needs and challenges.
*Experience in managing population scale healthcare databases / consortium biobanks like data access agreements.
*Open, curious, and well-structured character with a strong digital mindset
*Excellent communication skills in English paired with distinguished intercultural skills
