Associate Director

You have the opportunity to join a global, award-winning boutique consulting firm, specializing in the orphan drug and cell and gene therapy, dedicated to providing patients with rare diseases the most appropriate clinical treatment.

As Associate Director, you will be responsible for project delivery of the current suite of services. You will be developing and growing the firm's global access solutions working closely with members of senior management team and consulting colleagues. This is a transition role to Director, taking on project leadership on some projects.

The firm focuses on providing services ranging from evidence optimisation to value communication, access performance and route to market and their key features to provide effective access for orphan drugs and ensuring optimal client outcomes.

If you are looking to leverage your market access and commercialisation strategy abilities to make a real difference in the rare disease, cell & gene therapy world and have have 8-9 years of market access experience, then this role is ideal for you.

Some of the day to day responsibilities and activities you will be involved include:

  • Project Management: Lead small to medium sized projects with some senior support and project manage on very large, strategic projects or programmes of work
  • Client Management: Build relationships to develop new opportunities and engage with existing clients for follow-on opportunities, including responsibility for per annum sales target
  • Thought Leadership: Strong knowledge base in regulatory, pricing and reimbursement processes associated with orphan drugs and attend and present in conferences
  • Personnel Development and Line management: Effectively lead and line manage members of the analyst and consulting team, including providing coaching and guidance and lead performance evaluation processes for direct reports
  • Lead client conference calls, meetings and workshops, including managing complex, high risk group dynamics during meetings and workshops
  • Advise and support project managers when required ensuring objectives and timelines are met
  • Pressure test research and analysis to ensure client recommendations are credible, high value and actionable
  • Manage at least 3 projects at a time with support from senior advisors
  • Advise and support project managers when required ensuring objectives and timelines are met and ensure compliance in procedures as project lead

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Have 8-9 years of market access experience within life sciences
  • Be a results driven individual with track record in rare disease, cell and gene therapy
  • Be an ambitious market access professional with overall 5 years in pharmaceutical strategy consulting
  • Have core project delivery experience
  • Strong background in research and analysis particularly in providing new approaches to research including unique corporate circumstances or complex issues and able to draw experience from other contexts
  • You will be a skilled communicator and persuasive presenter
